Replace this area with a screenshot or short walkthrough video during the media sweep.

Domain and SSL status tells you whether customers can safely reach your site. Check this before launch, after DNS changes, and any time customers report a site access issue.

What this guide helps you do

  • See whether the primary domain is connected or pending.
  • Confirm SSL is active on the live domain.
  • Review redirects from alternate domains.

Before you start

  • Know the domain customers should use.
  • Have access to the domain settings and the domain registrar if DNS changes are needed.
  • Wait for DNS propagation after recent changes.

Do it manually

  1. Open Settings and go to Domains.
  2. Find the connected domain card and review the status badge.
  3. If the domain is pending, copy the required DNS record and update it at the registrar.
  4. If the domain is active, open the live site with https.
  5. Review domain redirects and their status if alternate domains should forward to the main site.
  6. Test the domain from an incognito window or a separate network when troubleshooting.

Ask Faster AI

  • Create a domain and SSL launch checklist for my site.
  • Help me troubleshoot this domain status. Ask for the domain, DNS record, and status shown in Faster.
  • Explain what DNS pending means in plain language and what I should check next.

Review before saving or publishing

  • Do not share registrar credentials or DNS account passwords in chat.
  • Confirm the domain is spelled correctly before changing DNS.
  • Use the live customer-facing domain for final checks.

Common issues and fixes

  • If DNS is pending, confirm the A record points to the value shown in Faster.
  • If SSL is not active yet, wait after DNS is correct and recheck.
  • If one domain works and another does not, check redirect configuration for the alternate domain.

Custom domain setup

For why DNS can look correct before SSL finishes and what to check while status is pending, read the custom domain article. Connect a Custom Domain Without the DNS Headache.

Placeholder media

  • Screenshot placeholder: add an annotated screenshot of check domain and ssl status with customer names, email addresses, private domains, DNS values, amounts, internal notes, and unpublished content blurred.
  • Video placeholder: add a short walkthrough that starts from the relevant Faster workspace area, shows the manual path, then shows how to ask Faster AI and review the result before saving, publishing, sending, or applying work.
