Site analytics helps you understand traffic, search performance, form activity, and campaign behavior. Connect analytics before major launches so you can review results after the work goes live.

What this guide helps you do

  • Connect Google Search Console for search performance insights.
  • Connect Google Tag Manager and GA4 for site tracking.
  • Add marketing pixels when campaigns require them.

Before you start

  • Use an account that has access to the correct Google property or tag container.
  • Know the public website domain that should be measured.
  • Confirm privacy and consent requirements for the regions where you operate.

Do it manually

  1. Open Settings and go to Analytics & Tracking.
  2. Connect Search Console and choose the property that matches your site.
  3. Set up Google Tag Manager and GA4 if they are not already connected.
  4. Add marketing pixels only for active channels you use.
  5. Use installation code or the connected container status to confirm setup.
  6. Open a page or campaign report later to review collected data.

Ask Faster AI

  • Create an analytics setup checklist for my website, Search Console, GTM, GA4, and ad pixels.
  • Review my analytics settings and tell me what is missing before launch.
  • Explain which tracking settings I should enable for a service-business lead generation site.

Review before saving or publishing

  • Do not add pixels for platforms you do not use.
  • Check consent, cookie, and privacy requirements before tracking visitors.
  • Confirm you selected the property for the live domain, not a preview URL.

Common issues and fixes

  • If Search Console properties do not load, reconnect the Google account and refresh properties.
  • If GA4 does not show data, confirm the tag container is installed and receiving page views.
  • If a pixel is inactive, recheck the pixel ID and enabled state.

Placeholder media

  • Screenshot placeholder: add an annotated screenshot of connect site analytics with customer names, email addresses, private domains, DNS values, amounts, internal notes, and unpublished content blurred.
  • Video placeholder: add a short walkthrough that starts from the relevant Faster workspace area, shows the manual path, then shows how to ask Faster AI and review the result before saving, publishing, sending, or applying work.
