Replace this area with a screenshot or short walkthrough video during the media sweep.

Invoices should start as drafts so your team can review customer, amount, line items, due date, and portal behavior before anything goes to the customer.

What this guide helps you do

  • Create an invoice from the Money workspace.
  • Use customer and service context without exposing private notes.
  • Prepare an invoice with AI while keeping send approval separate.

Before you start

  • Create or confirm the customer record in Customer 360.
  • Know the service, product, billing period, price, tax language, due date, and any deposit or credit.
  • Confirm the invoice should be in the organization currency supported for that customer.

Do it manually

  1. Open Money and choose Get Paid.
  2. Click New invoice.
  3. Choose the customer or enter the counterparty details your team uses.
  4. Add line items with clear names, quantities, prices, and descriptions.
  5. Set due date, memo, and any internal notes that should not appear publicly.
  6. Save the invoice as a draft and review the drawer before sending.

Ask Faster AI

  • Draft an invoice for this customer for the June consulting package at $2,500 due in 14 days. Keep it as a draft.
  • Create an invoice from this accepted proposal using placeholder line item descriptions and show me before sending.
  • Review this customer history and suggest invoice line items, but do not create the invoice until I confirm.

Review before saving, sending, paying, or refunding

  • Verify customer name, email, amount, currency, due date, tax text, and line item wording.
  • Confirm private notes are not included in customer-facing fields.
  • Do not send until the person responsible for billing approves the draft.

Common issues and fixes

  • If the customer is missing, create or link the customer record first.
  • If the amount is wrong, edit the draft before sending instead of correcting after the fact.
  • If the invoice should repeat, use recurring invoice setup rather than manually duplicating many drafts.
