Forms can feed follow-up. A submission can add someone to a useful Audience or start a journey, but the form should collect the right information and consent before automation goes live.

What this guide helps you do

  • Use form submissions as a follow-up signal.
  • Connect a specific form to an Audience or journey.
  • Review the customer and delivery experience before starting automation.

Before you start

  • The form should be tested and receiving submissions correctly.
  • Customer sync should be on if the journey sends email to the submitter.
  • Know what the submitter should receive next, such as a confirmation, onboarding sequence, quote follow-up, or event reminder.

Do it manually

  1. Open the form and confirm recent test submissions look correct.
  2. Open Audiences or Journeys from Engagement.
  3. Create an Audience based on the form submission or choose the form-submitted trigger in a journey.
  4. Use the specific form name when the journey should start from one form only.
  5. Review the message content, timing, sender, and exit conditions.
  6. Test with a real submission before turning on the journey.

Ask Faster AI

  • Create a welcome journey for people who submit the consultation form. Send a confirmation immediately and create a task for the sales team after I review it.
  • Create an Audience from webinar registration submissions and show me the count before I use it.
  • Connect this lead form to a follow-up sequence, but ask for approval before anything is sent.

Review before publishing or using the form

  • Use a specific form trigger when multiple forms exist.
  • Preview the Audience or journey enrollment before sending email.
  • Check unsubscribe and contact preferences before promotional follow-up.
  • Make sure pending form changes are saved before the journey depends on them.

Common issues and fixes

  • If the journey does not start, confirm the form event, form name, and key are set for form submissions.
  • If people enroll unexpectedly, narrow the trigger to the specific form.
  • If messages cannot send, confirm customer sync and email collection are working.

Placeholder media

  • Screenshot placeholder: add an annotated screenshot of connect a form to an audience or journey with names, emails, submission values, and private tracking details blurred.
  • Video placeholder: add a short walkthrough that starts from Forms, shows the manual path, then shows how to ask Faster AI for the same outcome and review the result.
