Replace this area with a screenshot or short walkthrough video during the media sweep.

An Audience is a reusable group of people for journeys, broadcasts, newsletters, and follow-up. Build it from customer data that your team understands, then preview the count before using it.

What this guide helps you do

  • Create a saved Audience for a business goal.
  • Use customer fields, behavior, or People lists without handling internal delivery details.
  • Preview membership before sending or starting automation.

Before you start

  • Know the business purpose, such as new leads, recent buyers, inactive customers, or event registrants.
  • Make sure Customer 360 fields and People lists are current enough for targeting.
  • Confirm subscription and contact preferences before using the Audience for email.

Do it manually

  1. Open Audiences from Engagement or the customer workspace.
  2. Create a new Audience and give it a clear name.
  3. Choose rules based on customer fields, activity, People list membership, or other available signals.
  4. Preview the count and sample members.
  5. Save the Audience only after the preview matches your intent.
  6. Use the Audience in a broadcast, journey, newsletter, or review workflow.

Ask Faster AI

  • Create an Audience for leads added in the last 30 days who have not booked a consultation. Show me the count before saving.
  • Suggest useful Audiences for a service business using Customer 360 fields and recent form activity.
  • Review this Audience and explain who is included in plain English before I use it.

Review before saving, sending, or starting

  • Check the preview count and sample people before using the Audience.
  • Confirm the Audience excludes unsubscribed or ineligible contacts when it will be used for email.
  • Use a clear name and description so teammates understand what the Audience means later.

Common issues and fixes

  • If the count is too large, add a narrower rule or use a People list.
  • If the count is zero, check field names, dates, form mappings, and customer activity.
  • If the Audience includes the wrong people, duplicate it and test the revised rules before replacing the original.
